Our values

We believe that every child is a born innovator; they question, observe, associate and experiment their way through childhood. As they progress through life and school most are taught to accept the status quo instead of to question and experiment with new ideas. Over time, if these skills are not practised, their creativity and problem-solving skills slowly erode.

In this VUCA world, the risk of not innovating and only following the “established way” of doing things pose a serious threat to the survival of organisations. Employees who are encouraged to innovate are happier and more purposeful and, as a result, enable and support success and transformation in the organisations they work for.

We are Meiting Lin and Thomas Smart, partners in life and in business. We run a Singapore-based transformation consultancy that believes innovation traits to be the building blocks for successful people and businesses. Business Transformation

Organisation leaders know what innovation is and that transformation starts with people, mindsets and culture. The problem is that many organisations tend to rush into big transformation projects and the message this sends to their employees is that they are the problem and need to change. So it is not surprising that these projects are so difficult and meet with so much resistance.

Our approach is to engage people, establish the business purpose and bridge it to each employees’ purpose through a shared set of values and innovation traits that the business wants to nurture. When businesses find and communicate their values, and employees rediscover their own innovation traits and can connect them to the organisation, transformation no longer needs to be forced upon them.

I have been active in the innovation and digital transformation space since 2003 and in Asia since 2009 working with SME’s, enterprises and funded startups across many industries. I’m passionate about helping children, continuous improvement, solving problems and using technology for good.

While I am passionate about technology, it is only a tool. People, and their innovation traits, are the fundamental building blocks for true personal and business transformation and successful innovation.

Meiting Lin has over 10 years of experience in talent acquisition in both in-house and consultancy companies across various industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, visual effects, and animation. On top of her talent acquisition role, she has also been facilitating various programs such as LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, Purpose to Impact as well as new hire orientation/onboardings.

With a deep passion to help people better themselves, she believes in the power of using LEGO® bricks as a communication medium to help teams and organisations to reach their goals and unlock their potential.
